Theme-based Social Groups

Like many of us, we learn best when we’re engaging in something we love. At Kefi, we honor and prioritize the unique interests and skills of the children we work with. Our theme-based social groups supports your child’s social and emotional development through a variety of structured play activities.

Board Games

We use games to help children develop self-awareness, manage emotional responses, build self-esteem, apply teamwork, improve self-control, resolve conflict, make thoughtful decisions, and promote empathy.

Legos

Kids develop social competence as they build with Legos! We use project-based activities to encourage friendship and collaboration, emotion regulation, a growth mindset, self-esteem, and mindfulness.

Yoga

We tap into the power of yoga, movement, and breathing to help children develop impulse control strategies and better regulate their emotions. Research shows that kinetic movement like yoga supports the development of decoding skills, fluency, vocabulary, syntactic and discourse knowledge, and metacognition. We use big body movements in the context of meaningful language production for a positive yoga group experience.

Improv

Improv can be a lot of fun and a great way to promote and build social competencies. We use collaborative improv games to help students build relationships, accept failure, and use flexible thinking to solve problems. Activities help build ideas, develop social awareness, improve active listening, boost empathy, explore emotions and practice expressive communication.
