Expressive and Receptive Language Development

What does it mean?

A language disorder or delay is a communication disorder that involves difficulty in using and understanding spoken language. There are two types of language disorders: expressive and receptive language disorders.

At Kefi we take an individualized approach to treat children with expressive, receptive, and mixed language disorders or delays, and deficits in spoken and written language.

We treat disorders that are associated with learning disabilities, such as:

  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • Down syndrome
  • Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
  • Concussion
  • And other etiologies.
